Hi David--

Could you explain Open Trade Equity and Clsoed Trade Equity as produced in the new feature to the Enterprise version? I like the charts--particulary since I can see how an individual stock perfomed over a long period of time, but the chart seems to stay the same whether I check just Open Trade equity or both Open and Closed Trade Equity, so my feeble brain needs a little help to understand what I'm actually looking at.

Thanks so much,
Rick

There are two plots available.

The Open Trade Equity plot (which cannot be disabled) is a plot of your current equity on a bar by bar basis. It tells you your current equity based on the currently open trades ie if you liquidated all currently open trades then this is the amount of money you would have in your pocket.

In addition to the open equity plot the closed trade equity plots equity based on closed out trades only. It is similar to the equity plot found in the charts window except that the equity is ploted on a bar by bar basis rather than on each trade exit date only.

You may be having difficulting seeing the closed trade equity plot as it is plotted in a light grey color and maybe obscured by the open trade equity.

Hi David--

Got it! Maybe we could brighten up the light gray or make it a different color? The combination of the two on the chart really tells the story.

Thanks so much,
Rick
