Abnormal termination

Hi David--

Thanks for all the work on the new beta release. There seems to be a problem in the trade log in that it can't recognize my list of symbols when I try to plot the open equity curve and it blows up. Ditto when using the preferences window. It terminates with the following error:

MSFL Error No-247. Files are not a recognized version

I haven't made any changes to my MetaStock files since before I downloaded the new version.

Do you have Metastock running in the background ? If so you should close it down as it probably has hold of some of the security files.

Right you are--when I shut down MetaStock, everything is fine.
