c)As I use the 'annualised compound interest rate' as the RESULT to compare the results of various variables the "Profit Summary" of the "Detailed Report" is the main/only result I look at as I quickly try the various variables.

Some answers to your questions.

a)Yes, but an option to stop delete would save a multitude of files

You would need to beable to flag the user that the trade database is about to be overwritten. However it is not recommended to include calls to GUI functions from within the plugin so this is made difficult to implement.

You should look at the features added to the Enterprise Edition.

No this is not possible with Metastock.
