Ref Yesterday's Close

Can you please tell me how to include a reference to yesterdays Close in today's entry price? For example, I wish to Buy at Yesterday's Closing price + .5*ATR. Whatever I do, if I use Ref(C-1) or just C, I find that the entry price is moved one day ahead, so my entry is recorded on the Trigger day instead of the day following the Trigger day.
