When trying to "Display Trade on Chart" I encounter the following error message:
MSFL Error No. 365: Symbol "ZB-B" Error Message: "You are already accessing data in this folder".
TradeSim subsequently shuts down.
Any idea how to resolve this?
Thanks,
Fred

Be sure that MetaStock is not running--similar errors pop up in other areas of TradeSim when MetaStock is running, and by religiously shutting down MetaStock, I have eliminated all simialr errors...hope this one is similar since the workaround is easy

Thank you. Unfortunately, the problem exists with only TradeSim open even after the computer has been rebooted. I'll try contacting CompuVision to see what they have to say.
With kind regards,

Dear Sector Bets,
David Samborsky suggested searching for all files containing MSFL and deleting them. I found several MSFL files in my Metastock security files, deleted them and the problem was resolved.
Thanks again for your earlier suggestion.

More specifically
Make sure Metastock is not running and accessing the same data at the same time you are trying to use TradeSim to display the data.
Also open up the File Explorer and do a search using the following search critera
~MSFL.*
If any of these files appear delete these files and run TradeSim again.

I also am getting this same 365 error.
I have rebooted the computer and then not opened Metastock.
I have search for any files with MSFL and find none. i have also refreshed the security selection in the Preferences and have chosen the top folder.. Metastock Data.
Then I i rebooted again. then did another search. Maybe each time Tradesim crashes, it causes some msfl files, since I then found some and removed. I also was getting a message that the files were in the wrong format. I guessed that one folder under my main Metastock data one might be that one since I had not used in 1-2 years, since going to 9.1.
The open equity plot now seems to be doing alright, at least for the moment.
