Hi, just using v3 and it looks excellent. I cannot figure out how to get it to allow me to setup so that when cash becomes available, it'll take the next trade at whatever level, without it already having opened a level 0 trade but take a level 0 trade if there is one available.

ie I don't want to pyramid, but if the frist signal (level 0) was on a previous bar with no cash available, I want to test what happens if I take a level 1 or 2 or 4, whatever comes up, but no actual pyramids.

Hope I have explained what I want to do.

Hello mcdirt

On the 'Trade Parameters' tab uncheck the 'Pyramid Trades' check box. On the 'Trade Preferences' tab make sure that the 'Use level Zero trades only' is unchecked. In this way TradeSim will look at any trade even if it is not a level zero trade.

Hi David, thanks for the reply. I've tried that (just done it again) and it takes multiple trades in a single stock .... for example it took a level 0 then 29, then 30 then level 40 in one stock.

I want to allow only a single open position on each stock.

Hello mcdirt

With the settings above TradeSim will become an opportunist and take whatever trades are available as long as capital is permitting.

Could you please email me your trade database so I can see exactly what is going on.
