Hello, I posted this on the StockCentral.au site, but didn't get much of a response. I only have a day or so left on my TradeSim trial.
Has anyone tried testing any of the AlphOmega Elliot Waves explorations in TradeSim (with Metastock)? I'd be interested in hearing how it turns out. Since I'm rather new to both programs, I have a long learning curve before I can figure out how to input into TradeSim things like "Se:=opt1", or even what they mean.
Thanks,

Hmm notice this un answered.

There maybe others who have the same ideas.

Firstly M/S doesnt have the capacity to "Fix" a low or high point in calculating a leg which is necessary when defining Elliot.

This is due to the use of Zig Zag which is a dynamic indicator--------always under construction until the variable % or Points are taken out.

As such You cannot test Elliot.Im actually un aware of any software that can!

Hello

There was a review of AlphaOmega Elliot Wave software in Technical Analysis of Stocks & Commodities Magazine August 2003. It also included the results of backtesting using Metastock. No doubt using TradeSim to backtest it would have produced more convincing results.
