View Full Version : Disappearing Tabs

A minor issue. I'm using Windows XP home version as my operating system.

When I go to the Trade Parameters Window, there are two tabs I can work with: "Trade Parameters" and "Preferences". If I click on one of the two tabs in a "minimized" window...the other tab disappears and is no longer available. The only way to get it back is to Maximize the window...then the missing tab reappears.

In a Maximized window the tabs work perfectly well but in a minimized widow clicking on one will make the other go away. I don't know if the problem is just with my installation of TradeSim and a re install would help. But at this point I figure I might do a re install and do more damage than good. For now I can live with this.

Is this a "known" issue or is it unique to my system?

I can't seem to duplicate this problem. Does anybody else experience this problem?

Hi,

On my setup (windows XP - home) when the Trade Param window is maximized I can select either Trade Params or Prefs.

When I Minimise down I can select either Trade Params or Prefs again but once I select one they both dissappear and can't select either again unless I maximize the window.

Yes but the scroll bars should allow you to scroll the tabs back in view. This is a Windows characteristic.

I have the same problem with the disappearing tabs.

Yes, you can use the scrollbar to scroll up and put them back into view.

The problem occurs because:
The trade parameters window is smaller than
the trade preferences window.

If the 2 windows were made the same size, then the tabs would not disappear, because the window would not have to enlarge itself and scroll the tabs out of view when you click 'preferences'.

It uses a common tabbed windows control so both tabs are the same size.
