David,
As mentioned in a separate posting of mine I use the Right Click, Copy All To Clipboard feature of V5.2.0/B722 quite a lot. There are many advantages to be gained by being able to rapidly copy and paste multiple Monte Carlo reports onto a single spread sheet. The 2 major reasons are (1) fewer report files to manage and keep track of, and (2) ability to plot the results in Excel of related simulation studies.
In respect of Point 2, if, for example, I wish to examine the effect of %Risk on Profit for a given trade database I simply run Monte Carlo studies at a variety of %Risks, copy and paste each report into Excel so that they are all lined up, delete the columns with the titles, and it is then a simple matter to plot any of the reported inputs against any of the reported outputs. Having to export HTML files for every Monte Carlo simulation would make this an awful lot more cumbersome and time consuming. So PLEASE put the "Copy all to clipboard" facility back in.
On a related matter, when profit is reported it is done like this:
Profit Stats
Maximum Profit: $93,511.69 (46.76%)
Average Profit: $81,220.72 (40.61%)
Minimum Profit: $71,740.91 (35.87%)
Standard Deviation: $5,524.08 (2.76%)
So... when I do the Excel manipulation as described above it is necessary to separate the two parts of the profit result into separate rows so that it looks like this:
Profit Stats
Maximum Profit ($): $93,511.69
Average Profit ($): $81,220.72
Minimum Profit ($): $71,740.91
Standard Deviation ($): $5,524.08
Maximum Profit (%): 46.76%
Average Profit (%): 40.61%
Minimum Profit (%): 35.87%
Standard Deviation (%): 2.76%
Is it possible to seperate the Profit Results so that the $Profit and %Profit are on separate lines as shown above? That way it is very easy to extract the required results from the report and plot them as may be required. (I note that, apart from Profit, all other Monte Carlo Report Inputs and Outputs are reported one variable to a line... which is good.)
Thanks again,
David
