What is an Open Trade

Hi,

I've run a scan to record trades between 2 dates, 01/07/2000 to 30/06/2003. Now, when I export the Trade Database, I see that there are exit dates that are after 30/06/2003. One, in fact is 06/02/2006.

So, my question is:

If the trade exit date is after my desired exit date, is this considered an open trade? In other words, does this particular trade which finished on the 06/02/2006 (in other words after 30/06/2003) get classed as an Open Trade or is it included in my report as part of Closed Trades?

It only effects the entry dates only.

Once you are in a trade you don't have the luxury of knowing in advance when the trade is going to exit so it is no use trying the filter based on the exit date.

But this can still be done by selecting the trades in trade database manager.
