I'm not sure but do you have another computer you can try it on ?

Also what version of Metastock are you running ??

I am running 9.1 version of metastock. I shall look into the possibility of installing Metastock and Tradesim on another computer, so not sure.

Some people who have had these types of problems have fixed it by reinstalling MetaStock.

Thanks. I reinstalled Metastock, but that did not help. I contacted Metastock support. They had no idea what could be the problem.

Default Works if use computer in safe mode

I shall try to explore further why that is so. Any tips would be appreciated as to why Metatstock explorations of Tradesim work in the safe mode. Thanks, Geo

Default culprit was a Norton antiviral/firewall program

I contacted Norton. Their tech "disabled" Norton but still explorations would not run. Said that problem was not caused by Norton , threfore.
However, I insisted they remove and reinstall. They did and works now. Their explanation: there must have been some Norton 360 corrupt files that interfered.

I found you guys' comments helpful to keep me encouraged so I could continue thinking about the issue.. so less feeling I was just wandering alone and blindfolded . Thanks to all. Geo

Bl**dy Nortons again

I use Avast antivirus. It is free and updated regularly and has no problems with TradeSim. I also use IOBit Security 360 which is also free and has no problems when running TradeSim

Anyway thanks for narrowing it down and alerting others
